The first is called, Let’s Sing Opera! and will feature an introduction to the artform,overviews of well-known and influential operas, creative crafts, group improvisation activities, showcases from local D.C. professional opera musicians, and of course, lots of singing and music! Enter this wacky world of action, hilarity and romance this summer!
Campers in Grades 1-4
June 24-28
The second is called, Performing a Musical. The campers will audition, rehearse, and perform the comedic classic, “Once upon a Mattress.” Each camper will learn acting and speaking techniques, develop healthy singing habits, be a part of whimsical dance routines, and construct their own set and costumes. On the final day, the campers will present their work to parents in a live performance.
